Abstract

The final paper analyzes pragmalinguistic of anger expression found in Crank and Crank: High Voltage movies. The main purpose of this study is to find out the pragmalinguistic form of anger expressions used by the characters in the Crank and Crank: High Voltage movies and find out the most dominant pragmalinguistic form of anger expressions used by the characters in the Crank and Crank: High Voltage movies. The writer analyzed pragmalingustic by using Madlow’s theory. There are two problems analyzed in this study, first is pragmalinuistic form of anger expression and second is the dominan of pragmalingistic form. The final paper is descriptive qualitative study because the data are expressions of anger uttered by the charactes in Crank and Crank: High Voltage movies. In analysis the data the writer used three ways which are shifting data by note taking the utterance that contains anger expresiion, classifying, and coding. The result shows that, from the question number one, the writer found three pragmalinguistic form of anger expression found in Crank and Crank: High Voltage movies. First is direct form which expressed through hatred (15%), accusing (5%), revengeful (4%), name-calling (9%), insult (5%) threatening (7%), less intense but clear away (16%), and disgust (2%). Second is thinly veiled form which express throug argumentative (8%), jealous (3%), irritable (9%), cynical humor(11%), sarcasm (1%), indirectly challenging (2%), and disrustful (1%). The last is indirect form which express through little communication (2%). From the quesion number two the writer found the most dominant pragmalinguistic form of anger is less intense but clear away (16%) from direct form.
