Abstract

ABSTRACT Mushroom as a food commodity which requires a growth temperature of between 22-28 oC with humidity of 60-80% requires intensive temperature and humidity control. The temperature and humidity control system on mushroom cultivation using artificial intelligence method is a solution to control temperature and humidity that occurs fluctuatively throughout the day as happened in the transition period. Fuzzy control logic is one method of artificial intelligence application that is relatively easy and flexible, to be designed not to involve complicated mathematical models. One of the fuzzy logic control system implementations is to control temperature and humidity automatically on mushroom cultivation with Sugeno fuzzy method. To realize the Sugeno fuzzy logic method on automatic temperature and humidity control on mushroom cultivation, a sensor is needed as a system input in the form of DHT11 and DS18B20 sensors, and Arduino Uno microcontroller is needed to implement fuzzy systems into program languages that can be accepted by mist maker and peltier. The basic fuzzy structure itself consists of four stages, namely fuzzification, rule basis, information, and defuzzification. From testing comparing the measurement results of system output with MATLAB software, the relative error rate of the system is 2.4% which indicates the system works according to the design.
