Abstract

ABSTRACT In the future, electricity needs will increase. This is influenced by the increase and development of the population and the increasing number of investments and will create a variety of new industries that are not small in number. Therefore, to ensure the reliability and continuity of electricity distribution, reliability is needed in the electric power system. The benchmark for reliability of the electricity distribution system is how often the electricity distribution system experiences blackouts. Therefore maintenance or operation techniques are needed without any power outages, one of which is by carrying out maintenance and work using the PDKB method (Work in a Tension State). Research at PT PLN (Persero) Distribution Central Java and D.I. Yogyakarta at Purwokerto area is carried out in several stages, namely conducting a literature study along with data retrieval and processing, then Consultation and the last step is making a report. The purpose of this final assignment was to find out how much the saved kWh, the rupiah saved as a result of work with the PDKB method, then to compare the reliability values of SAIDI & SAIFI between work with the PDKB method and with outages, and to determine potential losses and net income obtained by PT. PLN (Persero) Distribution Central Java and DI Yogyakarta Purwokerto Area due to empowering the PDKB to do every work and maintenance. The conclusion of this study is that the Electricity Energy (kWh) that has been saved is equal to 1,298,554.4 kWh and if converted into Rupiah the value becomes Rp 1,250,507,887. The value of SAIDI & SAIFI achieved by the presence of PDKB which is equal to 0.34068 hours / customer / year and 0.137 times / customer / year; and the value of SAIDI & SAIFI if maintenance work is not carried out by PDKB is 0.7867 hours / customer / year and 0.279 times / customer / year. The total potential loss that can be experienced if it does not empower PDKB is valued at Rp 1,470,507,887. If PT PLN (Persero) Distribution Central Java and D.I. Yogyakarta Purwokerto Area empowers PDKB to carry out the work and maintenance, it will get a net profit of Rp 578,507,887. Keywords : PDKB, kWh saved, Rupiah saved
