Abstract
Taman Sari is still visited by many tourists both local and foreign. But beyond expectations, the charm and splendor of the building was lost due to the large amount of garbage and seemed unkempt. The author was interested in examining Taman Sari with the aim: 1) to determine the causes of the less well-maintained Taman Sari environment; 2) to find out the efforts that have been made by managers in maintaining the cleanliness of the Taman Sari tourism environment. The research method used a qualitative descriptive method by: 1) conducting interviews with Taman Sari garden guards; 2) directing observation in Taman Sari; 3) 1 month observation time from August to September 2018; 4) doing documentation by taking photos and recording during interviews. The results of her research mentioned that: 1) the visitors disposed of their waste improperly so that Taman Sari seemed unkempt; 2) Taman Sari had made efforts to manage cleanliness but vandalism itself cannot be handled optimally.
