Abstract
ABSTRAK Industri kerajinan nasional berpotensi memberikan perekonomian yang baik melalui capaian ekspor produknya seperti Desa Bangunjiwo yang memiliki keunggulan pada sektor kriya yang dikemas dalam sentra industri Kajigelem dengan skala ekspor hingga mancanegara. Sebagai kawasan strategis sosio-kultural desa wisata dan kerajinan, pengembangan sarana dan prasarana akan dibutuhkan untuk mendukung segala aktivitas pengguna dengan konsep wisata edukasi yang tercantum pada rencana pembangunan jangka menengah daerah tahun 2016-2021 oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Bantul. Pencarian data dilakukan melalui survei berupa pengamatan lokasi, wawancara dengan pihak yang terkait, dan beberapa literatur yang menjadi bahan dalam proses perancangan sehingga menciptakan wadah bagi pengguna yang berwisata, menghasilkan atau mempelajari suatu karya, serta meningkatkan identitas kerajinan setempat dengan memperhatikan aspek bangunan dan kebutuhan yang ada melalui tangible metaphor design berupa penerapan elemen-elemen sekitar. Kata kunci: Kajigelem, kerajinan, sentra industri, tangible metaphor ABSTRACT The national handicraft industry has the potential to provide a good economy through the export achievements of its products such as Bangunjiwo Village which has advantages in the craft sector which is packaged in the Kajigelem industrial center with an export scale to foreign countries. As a strategic socio-cultural area for tourism and handicraft villages, the development of facilities and infrastructure will be needed to support all user activities with the concept of educational tourism as stated in the 2016-2021 regional medium-term development plan by the Bantul Regency Government. The search for data was carried out through surveys in the form of location observations, interviews with related parties, and some literature that was used as material in the design process so as to create a forum for users who travel, produce or study a work, as well as improve the identity of local crafts by paying attention to building aspects and needs. there is through the tangible metaphor design in the form of the application of the elements around.
