Abstract
Job Training (internship) is one of the activities that requires students to have an internship in a company institution in accordance with the field of study in order to support students to better understand the real world of work and usually practical work is held in the last semester of lecture. By participating in practical work, students become more aware of the world of work, gain more knowledge from various fields, and also improve the quality of students when they graduate from university. In this internship report, the author wants to share experiences during practical work at one of the tourism agencies in the city of Jogja, namely OBKA Tourmaker which is located at Jalan Langenastran Kidul No.15c Panembahan, Kraton, Yogyakarta. The writers carry out practical work starting from 01 July 2019 to 01 August 2019 with working hours at 10.00-18.00 (preparation) & 05.00-00.00 (3 days of event). While doing practical work at OBKA Tourmaker, the author gets a lot of experience in organizing and organizing a series of events. For example: Location Survey (Hotel, Restaurant, Tourist Place), Price Survey (Hotel, Restaurant, Tourist Place, Transportation, Souvenir), Creating Schedule, Documentation and controlling the course of the event. From the results of this experience, the authors conclude internship is very beneficial for students. Because students become better prepared in terms of knowledge, mentally and physically.
