Abstract
This study entitled An Analysis on The Pronouns of Batak Toba Found in Si Tumoing: Manggorga Ari Sogot Novel By Saut Poltak Tambunan discusses two problems. The first problem is to identify the types of pronouns in Batak Toba language. The second is to identify the dominant pronouns appeared in that original Batak Toba language novel. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The techniques applied observation and note-taking as the medium for data collection using Delahunty and Garvey theory. Based on the analysis, the writer managed to find the types of pronouns of Batak Toba language found in Si Tumoing novel there are five pronouns of Batak Toba language. It can be categorized as Personal Pronouns 61%, Possessive Pronouns 31%, Indefinite Pronouns 2%, Demonstrative Pronouns 5%, and Interrogative Pronouns 1%. Keywords: pronouns, Batak Toba, novel
