Abstract

This research entitled An Analysis of Code Mixing Found in Note Najwa x Agnez Mo in Najwa Sihab Youtube Channel is aimed at finding the types of code mixing, the dominant code mixing types used, and the reasons for using code mixing in the Najwa x Agnez Mo notes in Najwa Sihab. Youtube Channel. In this study the researcher used a qualitative descriptive method. This study did not use statistical procedures nor statistical calculations in analyzing data. The data in this study are in the form sentences, phrases, or words taken from Notes Najwa x Agnez Mo in Najwa Sihab Youtube Channel. The results of this study indicate that there are five types of code mixing used by Najwa Sihab and Agnez Monica during the video. The types include code mixing in the form of words, phrases, mixtures, repetitions, and clauses. The dominant type of code mixing used by the two speakers was code mix in the form of clauses (56%), followed by code mixing in the form of words (19%), code mixing in the form of phrases (14%), code mixing in the form of repetition (6%) ), and code mixing in mixed form (5%). Some of the reasons for using code mix in the video are a) situation, b) authority, c) repetition for affirmation, and d) social community. Keywords: Code, Code Mixing, Najwa, Agnez, Youtube
