Abstract
Car rental is a business in the service sector of various types of cars. Besides that, it also provides tour packages. As time goes by, tenants sometimes have difficulty finding information on the whereabouts of the car rental place. Sometimes after finding the place, the car that was rented out was not what was expected or the car is being rented by another tenant. The purpose of making this information system is to help tenants more easily find car rental services and make ordering easier. So that in order to ensure accuracy in recording transactions, security in data storage, as well as accuracy and speed in presenting information, it is necessary to build a computer-based information system. The software used in building this application is PHP (Pear Hypertext Prepocessor) as a programming language, Phpmyadmin as a database server, and sublime text as a support. This computer-based car rental application research, if implemented, is expected to be able to overcome all problems in recording, checking and rental transaction data. In addition, data loss in the ledger and receipts are prone to occur and the arrangement of car rental schedules is still done manually so that there are times when clashes occur. So in carrying out a business process that optimizes marketing and car rental services, the author creates a web-based car rental application to make it easier for tenants to order a car.
