Abstract

The development of increasingly advanced technology in the field of computers makes information systems play an important role in all management sectors of a company, including data processing. With the rapid development of technology, it requires everyone to obtain information quickly, precisely and accurately. Bintang Estu Terang is a company engaged in land transportation with the route Jogja-Pangandaran and Jogja-Majenang. As a transportation service provider company, Bintang Estu Terang is required to always be ready to meet the needs of service users in terms of ticket reservations, viewing departure schedules, ticket reservations, and purchasing travel tickets. The approach method used in designing this system is an object-oriented approach using the waterfall as its development method. The tools used to design the system are UML (Unifield Modeling Language), Use Case Diagrams and Activity Diagrams. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and library research. The applications used in making the system are PHP and MySQL. The ticket booking system is designed to make it easier for operators to input passenger data, package goods, view order details, update passenger data and manage schedules using a database as a storage medium. It is hoped that with the construction of this system, it can improve the performance of operators in serving ticket reservations and make it easier for prospective passengers who order travel tickets either through the website or come directly to the location.
