Abstract
Payroll problems are a common problem in every government agency. Management of payroll that is not in accordance with established procedures will cause disappointment to employees, for example, payroll that is not in accordance with the level of education and class. In fact, salary is a service reward that is given regularly every month for the hard work of each employee so that salary is an important element for every government agency. In order to evaluate all relevant sections in the payroll procedure, a good internal control system is needed. A good internal control system includes the separation of functions in the existing organizational structure. The purpose of this study was to determine and evaluate the procedure for paying employees at the Land and Spatial Planning Office of Kulon Progo Regency. The research method used in compiling this final project is observation and interviews. Observations were made by observing directly the payroll procedure at the Land and Spatial Planning Office of Kulon Progo Regency. The results of this study indicate that the Land and Spatial Planning Office of Kulon Progo Regency has carried out payroll procedures well, but errors often occur in the payroll procedure, namely, errors in writing information and dates on payroll documents and accumulation of document archives that are not neatly arranged, causing archiving. documents that do not match the number sequence. The author hopes that an evaluation can be carried out to solve this problem such as: first checking how the application works so that salary calculations can run smoothly and documents that have been used to be stored as archives should be stored and arranged neatly by date or serial number of documents so that it is not difficult when searching for.
