Abstract
Abstrak Kawasan Pasar Tradisional Kemakmuran di Kabupaten Kotabaru merupakan pasar tradisional yang hadir untuk menunjang kebutuhan pangan masyarakat Kabupaten Kotabaru sekaligus untuk menunjang perekonomian nelayan dan masyarakat pesisir Kotabaru. Kotabaru memiliki kekayaan hasil ikan laut yang melimpah. Perairan Kotabaru berada di posisi strategis dengan letak geografis persis di tengah-tengah kepulaun Indonesia. Pasar Tradisional Kemakmuran memiliki masalah pada tata ruang, fasilitas, sistem drainase serta kondisi bangunan yang sudah kurang layak sehingga harus adanya redesain pada pasar. Pasar Tradisional Kemakmuran di Kotabaru akan menjadi ikon pasar higienis dan fungsional pertama di Kotabaru. Pendekatan yang dipilih adalah “Arsitektur Postmodern”.Oleh karena itu, pendekatan ini dipilih karena dari karakteristik arsitektur post-modern bisa diterapkan pada bangunan Pasar Tradisional, karena arsitektur post-modern memiliki unsur komunikasi, fungsional, kontekstual, tradisional, modern, dan urban, sedangkan pendalaman yang dipilih adalah tentang utilitas untuk menjawab permasalahan sistem drainese dan pengolahan limbah pada pasar yang terletak di pesisir laut. Abstract Kemakmuran Traditional Market in Kotabaru Regency is a traditional market that provides the food needs of the people in the regency and that supports the economy of the fishermen and the people in Kotabaru coastal areas. Kotabaru produces abundance of not only marine fish but also freshwater fish such as milkfish, shrimp, tilapia and others. The location of Kotabaru that is close to 2 major islands in Indonesia, Sulawesi and Java, makes this regency a strategic place for fishermen to stopover and to distribute marine products.Kotabaru waters have a strategic position with a geographical location in the middle of Indonesian archipelago. Kemakmuran Traditional Market has problems concerning its layout, facilities, drainage systems, and indecent condition of the building that need redesigning. The market will become the icon of the first hygienic and functional market in Kotabaru. The approach chosen to redesign the market is the "Postmodern Architecture". The postmodern characteristics can be applied to traditional market buildings since postmodern architecture has the elements of communication, being functional, contextual, traditional, modern, and urban. The focus is on the utilities to solve problems with drainage systems and sewage treatment in the markets located on the coastal areas.
