Abstract
Sumbawa Island is an island located in the middle of the Lesser Sunda Islands chain with Lombok Island to the west. Many people are more familiar with the island of Lombok than the island of Sumbawa, even most people think that the province of West Nusa Tenggara is only owned by the island of Lombok with its various natural beauties. Whereas the island of Sumbawa also has a lot of beauty and natural attractions that are no less interesting than the island of Lombok. This happened because of the lack of promotional media that raised the tours on Sumbawa Island, especially Sumbawa Regency. Therefore, the author introduces the island of Sumbawa through tourist attractions that are not yet known by many people. Android-based smartphone media that has been widely used by various groups is used by the author to create an application that contains various tours in Sumbawa Regency. In addition, this application has route information to be able to go to the location of tourist attractions in Sumbawa Regency that users want to visit. To be able to maximize its function, this tourist application is also equipped with information and bookings for lodging and hotels that can be visited by users if they want to travel to Sumbawa Regency. In this study, the author uses a system development methodology consisting of data collection, system analysis, system design, system design, and system implementation. This method helps the author in completing this research with a set of system development steps. The result of this research is an Android-based tourism application that contains various tours and lodgings in Sumbawa Regency as a form of media or promotion platform for the introduction of regional tourism.
