Abstract
Indramayu Regency is an area that is the center of rice-producing agricultural production in West Java. Based on a Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia program, Indramayu Regency is a proposed rice production area and has become the leading national rice supplier. However, agricultural problems in this area need to be considered, such as the declining condition of natural resources and the environment, the common knowledge of farmers in the field of technology, the unavailability of infrastructures such as research and development centers. Some agricultural centers in Indramayu only pay attention in terms of function without paying attention to environmental aspects. The purpose of the Research and Development Center for Agricultural Products is to facilitate research activities, public education, and the development of agricultural varieties between farmers and the government to optimize agricultural products in Indramayu Regency. The design method uses a conceptual approach and a rational, analytical method. Issues concerning the background of the problem are identified to obtain a problem formulation. Collecting data through observation and literature study. So that the results of the analysis are obtained, which are then developed into concepts and synthesis, and the embodiment of the concept, this Agricultural Product Research and Development Center uses an Ecological Architectural Approach. The application of the ecological architecture concept to the building is adjusting the form to the surrounding environment to create harmony in the function of the building with the surrounding natural environment.
