Abstract

Kalimantan Timur merupakan salah satu provinsi dengan banyaknya potensi wisata yang dimiliki. Salah satu kota yang memiliki jumlah pengunjung terbanyak ialah Kota Balikpapan, yang mana juga dijuluki sebagai pintu gerbang Kalimantan Timur dikarenakan kemudahakan akses menuju seluruh pelosok Kalimantan Timur melalui Kota Balikpapan. Sebagai kota yang sering dikunjungi, ada baiknya untuk memperkenalkan salah satu potensi yang dimiliki warga Kota Balikpapan yang mana dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu potensi wisata, sehingga Kota Balikpapan tidak hanya sebagai kota singgah. Salah satu potensi yang sedang naik ialah kesenian. Dilihat dari gaya hidup usia produktif di Balikpapan, yang mana sedang gencar-gencarnya membuat event yang berkaitan dengan kesenian. Makin menjamurnya komunitas-komunitas kesenian pun menjadi salah satu proyeksi bahwa Kota Balikpapan memiliki potensi di bidang kesenian. Potensi kesenian yang ada, ada baiknya didukung dengan infrastruktur yang memadai. Adanya wadah yang menjadi naungan para komunitas dan seniman, seperti artspace untuk Kota Balikpapan, kelak selain meningkatkan taraf hidup seniman, juga dapat menambahkan alternatif wisata untuk Kota Balikpapan itu sendiri. Sehingga para pendatang memiliki lebih banyak pilihan wisata, dan Kota Balikpapan tidak lagi hanya sekedar sebagai Kota untuk singgah. Artspace sebagaimana nama nya, ialah sebuah wadah bernaung untuk kesenian, yang mana sebaiknya difungsikan sebagaimana fungsinya. Wadah untuk seniman. Dengan adanya artspace, diharapkan dapat membantu naiknya tingkat popularitas seniman dan naiknya derajat hidup seniman di mata masyarakat. Sehingga diharapkan artspace tidak hanya sebagai wadah berkesenian, artspace sendiri dirasa mampu untuk berkembang lebih jauh lagi. Untuk itu, arsitektur humanisme dirasa mampu membantu untuk menaikkan tingkat derajat para seniman dan komunitas. Sebagaimana tingkatan kebutuhan manusia, pada tingkatan atas, manusia cenderung butuh akan aktualisasi diri. Dan artspace sebagai wadahnya yang mampu meningkatkan derajat seniman dan juga derajat Kota Balikpapan itu sendiri. East Kalimantan is one of the provinces with a lot of tourism potential. One of the cities with the highest visitors in Balikpapan is dubbed the gateway to East Kalimantan due to the access ease to all corners of East Kalimantan through Balikpapan. As a city that is often visited, it is better to introduce one of the potentials of the residents of Balikpapan City, which can be used as a tourism potential, so that the City of Balikpapan is not only a stopover city. One of the emerging potentials is art. Judging from the lifestyle of productive age in Balikpapan, which is being intensively held events related to the arts. The proliferation of art communities is also one of the projections that Balikpapan City has potential in the arts. The existing artistic potential should be supported by adequate infrastructure. In the future, the existence of a place that serves as a shelter for the community and artists, such as the artspace for Balikpapan, in addition to improving the living standards of artists, can also add alternative tourism to Balikpapan city itself. So that the newcomers have more tourist options, and the City of Balikpapan is no longer just a city to stop by. As the name suggests, artspace is a place for shelter for art, which should function as intended—a place for artists. With the existence of artspace, it is hoped that it can help increase the level of artist popularity and increase the artist's standard of living in the eyes of the public. So it is hoped that artspace is not only a place for art. Artspace itself is considered capable of developing further. For this reason, humanist architecture is considered capable of helping to raise the level of the artist and the community. At the top level, humans tend to need self-actualization as the level of human needs. Moreover, artspace is a place that can increase the degree of artists and the degree of the City of Balikpapan itself.
