Abstract

ABSTRACT The Klawuyuk Village Office is a government service office where employees at the Klawuyuk Village Office send document files such as official letters which are only sent directly without any security. This is considered to be still not optimal in utilizing technology where official letters which should need to be kept secret regarding the contents of the message do not have security in the official letter files that are made and there is a concern that there will be changes to the contents of the message in the letter to be sent so that the integrity of the message contained in the letter has been lost or reduced. In this study, the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) method was used as a process for encryption and decryption in document files. The results of this study are in the form of a security application on the official letter file that will be sent in the form of data encryption using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) cryptography method. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that protecting such information can be done by providing certain security so that apart from the sender and recipient, no one else knows the contents of the file.
