Abstract

Arah Mega Jaya is a workshop business that provides a wide range of motorcycle repair services to selling spare parts separately, located in canal 3, Margokaton, Seyegan, Sleman. One line of business, such as a home-based motorbike repair shop, rarely uses a cashier system to help manage every transaction that is made. Therefore, the problem that often occurs in the paper recording system that is used is the loss of paper recording the results of transactions, the paper is exposed to oil or other materials and there is a stock difference between the real stock and the results of the recording. Therefore, this research will implement the use of an Android-based cashier system at the "Arah Mega Jaya" home workshop which is the object of the current research case study to assist the transaction recording process so that it is more effective and efficient. This implementation aims to be able to find out the product management system which can facilitate and support performance in sales transactions, this cashier system will use the Java Android programming language which is supported by the Firebase Database database storage. The features contained in this cashier system include product management such as spare parts or motorbike repair services at the workshop, management of sales reports and management of product categories. In addition, this system can also be connected to a cash register that utilizes Bluetooth technology so that it can print sales transaction receipts. The method used in this research is the Waterfall model, which starts from analysis, design, coding, and testing. The results of this study are in the form of an Android-based cashier system that provides system updates that can support the performance of home workshops at the "Arah Mega Jaya" workshop to become more effective and productive.
