Abstract

ABSTRAK Sampah merupakan salah satu masalah yang dihadapi oleh Indonesia, sampah itu sendiri kerap kali timbul disebabkan oleh kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh manusia pasti menghasilkan sebuah sampah. Volume sampah akan terus meningkat seiring berjalannya peningkatan jumlah penduduk setiap tahunnya. Kota Yogyakarta dalam hal pengelolaan sampah masih menjadi masalah, dikarenakan untuk Tempat Pembuangan Sampah Akhir (TPST) Piyungan sudah sudah tidak mampu menampung semua jenis sampah yang dihasilkan oleh warga sekitar. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut pemerintah Kota Yogyakarta membuat atau melaksanakan program bank sampah. Dengan adanya sebuah sebuah bank sampah atau program bank sampah pemerintah berharap volume sampah yang semakin hari semakin meningkat dapat diatasi dengan segera. Maksud dan tujuan laporan ini dibuat untuk mengetahui efektivitas kinerja sebuah bank sampah yang berada di Kota Yogyakarta khususnya di Kemantren Umbulharjo menurut persepsi masyarakat sekitar. Efektivitas sendiri dapat diartikan sebagai tepat sasaran yang juga lebih diarahkan pada aspek keberhasilan pencapaian tujuan. Metode yang digunakan dalam laporan ini adalah metode kuantitatif yang dimana metode ini mengumpulkan sebuah data, setelah data itu terkumpul lalu diolah dan tahap selanjutnya menyajikan sebuah hasil. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian maka dapat diketahui untuk efektivitas kinerja bank sampah yang berada di Kemantren Umbulharjo Kota Yogyakarta sudah efektif. Dikarenakan bank sampah itu sendiri sudah membantu dan ikut serta dalam peran mengolah dan mengurangi jumlah sampah yang berada di lingkungan sekitar. Kata Kunci: Permasalahan sampah, bank sampah, efektivitas, Kota Yogyakarta ABSTRACT Waste is one of the problems faced by Indonesia, waste itself often arises because the activities carried out by humans must produce waste. The volume of waste will continue to increase as the population increases every year. The city of Yogyakarta in terms of waste management is still a problem, because the Piyungan Final Waste Disposal Site (TPST) is no longer able to accommodate all types of waste generated by local residents. To overcome this problem, the Yogyakarta City government created or implemented a waste bank program. With the existence of a waste bank or waste bank program, the government hopes that the increasing volume of waste can be resolved immediately. The purpose of this report is to determine the effectiveness of the performance of a waste bank in the city of Yogyakarta, especially in Kemantren Umbulharjo according to the perceptions of the surrounding community. Effectiveness itself can be interpreted as right on target which is also more directed at the aspect of successful achievement of goals. The method used in this report is a quantitative method in which this method collects data, after the data is collected then processed and the next stage presents a result. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the effectiveness of the performance of the waste bank in Kemantren Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta City is effective. Because the waste bank itself has helped and participated in the role of processing and reducing the amount of waste in the surrounding environment.
