Abstract

ABSTRACT Confidentiality of data is a very valuable asset and must be maintained so that it is not known by unauthorized parties, especially sales data. One of the data that must be kept confidential is the financial data on the Project Computer, North Penajam Paser which is confidential. Because if sales data is lost and misused by irresponsible parties, it can harm the agency. Therefore, research was carried out which aims to create a system that can secure data by encrypting and decrypting sales data in file form (PDF, DOC, XLS, and TXT) using the AES 128 Bit encryption & decryption method. The results of this research will produce Sales Files that have been encrypted in ciphertext form. The accuracy percentage of similarity between the original file and the decrypted file reaches 90%, because there are several font sizes and types that have changed.
