Abstract

ABSTRACT The rapid development of computer technology not only has positive impacts such as ease and practicality in processing information and data, but can also have negative impacts such as misuse of information and data. This is because humans are always experimenting in developing computer technology and also looking for loopholes or weaknesses in computer systems. The Eka Tjipta Rungau Junior High School (SMP) in the value data storage system, teacher data, and students still uses a manual storage method, namely by using Microsoft Excel so that data or files can be read by other people and files are also vulnerable to being lost or infected with viruses. Related to these problems, a 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) method and 64-bit Data Encryption Standard (DES) are needed in designing a security system. So that the system can maintain important data at Eka Tjipta Rungau Middle School and also minimize data leakage so that important data such as grades, teacher and student data can be stored properly. Keywords: Encryption, Decryption, Cryptography, AES, DES
