Abstract

Pada tahun 1980an hingga sekarang Indonesia telah mengalami berbagai macam metamorfosis dalam upayanya menarik wisatawan untuk datang berkunjung ke Indonesia, pemerintah menyadari potensi sumber daya alam dan budaya yang dimiliki Indonesia sangat baik untuk memikat para wisatawan, saat ini pemerintah sedang berfokus untuk membangun dan mempromosikan wisata salah satunya yaitu Yogyakarta-Borobudur, gerbang utama untuk menuju ke wisata ini adalah melalui Yogyakarta Internasional Airport yang terletak di kabupaten Kulon Progo, hal ini memaksa pemerintah setempat untuk melengkapi fasilitas akomodasinya untuk menampung para wisatawan yang akan berkunjung. Kabupaten Kulon Progo merupakan wilayah yang paling terdampak, maka perlu adanya rencana khusus untuk menangani isu tersebut dengan merancang sebuah tempat yang dapat menampung para wisatawan tersebut dengan fasilitas dan pelayanan yang baik. Kulon Progo sendiri adalah sebuah kabupaten di provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, ibukota Kulon Progo adalah Wates. Kabupaten ini berbatasan dengan Kabupaten Sleman dan Kabupaten Bantul di timur, Samudra Hindia di selatan, Kabupaten Purworejo di barat, serta Kabupaten Magelang di utara. Nama Kulon Progo berarti sebelah barat Sungai Progo kata kulon dalam Bahasa jawa artinya barat. Kali progo membatasi kabupaten ini di sebelah timur. Kabupaten Kulon progo terdiri atas 12 kecamatan, yang dibagi lagi atas 88 desa dan kelurahan, serta 930 pedukuhan. Pusat pemerintahan di Kecamatan Wates, yang berada di sekitar 25 km sebelah barat daya dari pusat ibukota provinsi DIY. Pantai yang ada di kabupaten Kulon Progo adalah Pantai Congot, Pantai Glagah (10 km arah barat daya Kota Wates atau 35 km dari pusat Kota Yogyakarta dan Pantai Trisik. Wisata terkenal yang ada di Kulon Progo yaitu Pantai Glagah Indah karena keindahan pantai dengan pemecah ombaknya, dan juga terdapat laguna luas yang jarang di jumpai di pantai-pantai Indonesia lainnya. From the 1980s until now, Indonesia has experienced various kinds of metamorphosis in its efforts to attract tourists to visit Indonesia. The government is aware of the potential of Indonesia's natural and cultural resources to attract tourists. Currently, the government is focusing on building and promoting tourism. One of the tourisms is Borobudur. The main gate is through Yogyakarta International Airport, located in the Kulon Progo regency. It forces the local government to complete its accommodation facilities to accommodate the tourists who will visit. Kulon Progo Regency is the most affected area, so it needs a unique plan to deal with this issue by designing a place to accommodate these tourists with good facilities and services. Kulon Progo is a regency in the Special Region of Yogyakarta province, with Wates as the capital city. This regency is bordered by Sleman and Bantul regencies in the east, the Indian Ocean in the south, Purworejo Regency in the west, and Magelang Regency in the north. Kulon Progo means the west of the Progo River; the word kulon in Javanese means west. The Progo River borders this regency to the east. Kulon Progo Regency consists of 12 districts, further divided into 88 villages and sub-districts, and 930 hamlets. The administrative center is in the Wates District, which is about 25 km southwest of the center of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The beaches in Kulon Progo Regency are Congot Beach, Glagah Beach (10 km southwest of Wates City, or 35 km from the center of Yogyakarta City), and Trisik Beach. The famous tourist attraction in Kulon Progo is Glagah Indah Beach because of the beauty of its breakwaters; also, a vast lagoon that is rarely found on other Indonesian beaches.
