Abstract

ABSTRACT The high density figures in the city of Yogyakarta mean that the number of vehicle users is increasing, this can be seen from the traffic flow which is getting denser every day. With so many vehicle users, it is not uncommon for traffic accidents to occur. This is also supported by official data provided by BAPPEDA (Regional Development Planning Agency) of Yogyakarta City, that the number of traffic accidents in 2022 has reached 7,830 accident records, and in 2023 in October it has reached 5,037 accident records in Yogyakarta City and perhaps will still increase. So far, traffic accident victims often have difficulty finding the nearest health service because they don't know the surrounding area. Therefore, we need a system that can help accident victims find the location of the nearest health service. This research is to build an application system that implements the Google Maps API and will utilize the GPS (Global Positioning System) feature on smartphones to find out the location of the nearest health service to make it easier for accident victims who need emergency help. Apart from the search feature, there is also an early warning system feature which will make it easier for accident victims to contact the nearest party, as well as using the WhatsApp API to send automatic messages to family or close friends whose telephone numbers are registered in the application. Keywords: Early Warning System, Search for Health Service Locations, Android.
