Abstract

ABSTRACT Mount Slamet is a popular mountain in Central Java and many climbers want to climb Mount Slamet. The most popular climbing route on Mount Slamet is the Bambangan post route, Purbalingga Regency. The large number of climbing posts on Mount Slamet makes it difficult for climbers to find the location of the post. This research is research that uses location-based service functionality features for user applications. The research stages are identifying problems, determining system requirements. After identifying the problem and determining the solution, the system design is then carried out. The final stage of the research is application testing to ensure all systems run according to plan so they can be implemented. The results of the research are the application of the Google Maps API to the Mount Slamet climbing information system application as a medium for information on the location of gathering points for climbing participants, there are also several other features such as a booking feature for renting mountain equipment which can be used and also a news feature which contains the latest available information. around Mount Slamet. The addition of this feature is useful for making it easier for climbers to find information related to climbing on Mount Slamet and can help climbers to find incomplete equipment.
