Abstract

ABSTRACT Indonesia's ethnic, cultural, linguistic and artistic diversity is an identity that cannot be lost and needs to be preserved. Therefore, to support this preservation, media is needed that can promote one of the arts, namely traditional musical instruments, to the public by utilizing augmented reality technology. The research entitled "Use of Augmented Reality for the Introduction of Android-Based Traditional Musical Instruments of Central Kalimantan" is an application development that aims to produce an Augmented Reality application for the introduction of Central Kalimantan's traditional musical instruments, which runs on the Android operating system. The application was built using several tools, namely Unity 3D, Vuforia SDK and Blender 3D, as well as using the Markeerless method. This application will later be able to display objects in the form of traditional musical instruments in 3D, audio and text descriptions. The aim of building this application is to introduce traditional musical instruments in detail, interactively, interestingly and to get real visualization. Keywords: Central Kalimantan Traditional Musical Instruments, Augmented Reality, Markerless, Android, Unity 3D, Vuforia SDK, Blender 3D.
