Abstract
ABSTRACT The city of Yogyakarta is a city that has many sports facilities and various types of sports. However, not all sports facilities are known to the people of Yogyakarta, especially to migrant communities. So a place search mobile application is needed to be able to provide information about sports facilities, so there needs to be information about sports facilities that can be accessed whenever and wherever the user is. Based on the problems above, it is proposed to create a fire-based search system for nearby sports venues. This system determines the location of the closest sports facilities and infrastructure to the user's position by calculating the distance from two coordinate points and displaying them on Google Maps and displays the route to get to the location of the user's closest sports venue. The result of this research is an Android-based location search application for sports facilities and infrastructure using GPS geolocation which can detect the coordinates of smartphone users and can display distance, road routes and location updates.
