Abstract

ABSTRACT A person is said to be missing when he has left his house or residence without anyone knowing his exact whereabouts. Missing person cases are a very common occurrence in society. In particular, children, elderly people with dementia, depression, and people with mental disorders are always missing. Usually relatives who experience loss only upload photos of the missing person to social media such as Whatsapp, Instagram and Facebook, so the information is not spread thoroughly or they make announcements manually. The announcement is posted in an inappropriate place, so it can spoil the view. Based on the problems that have been described, the author offers a solution that utilizes information technology and wireless technology, namely a mobile-based application developed in the Java programming language using Android Studio IDE software. This application is used to search for information as a special application that contains information about Searching and Finding Missing People so that information dissemination is more effective and efficient. Keywords: Mobile, Search, Discovery, Missing Person, Application, Java.
