Abstract

ABSTRACT In the context of tourism development, Klaten Regency is said to still be very minimal. Tourism development carried out by the management clearly does not appear to be optimal compared to tourism development in other areas. So far, if someone wants to visit a tourist spot that they don't know the location of, they can ask other people or browse on the internet. This is indeed effective, but sometimes the information obtained can be wrong, or we get lost because we take the wrong path to get to the tourist destination we want to visit. In other words, this will hinder or make things difficult for people who are looking for tourism in an area in Klaten district. In making this application, the author used Android Studio Dolphin with version 3.1, with Java language and applied the Location Based Service (LBS) method which is used to carry out navigation functions to tourist locations in Klaten district which are displayed on the map in the form of location markers. Coordinate data for each facility has been entered, complete information about each tourist facility. Based on the research results, a design and implementation of a tourist attraction search application was made using the Rest API method in Klaten district based on Android.
