Abstract

ABSTRACT Goat farming has an important role in meeting the need for meat and its derivative products. To overcome this dynamic, more efficient and organized goat farming management is needed. An information system is a component part of a system in an organization. This helps farmers monitor the condition of their goats by making the right decisions based on existing data. The PIECES method is an evaluation framework that integrates various key variables to assess the success and effectiveness of information systems. It includes performance evaluation, information, economics, control, efficiency. This method will help identify several problems and then determine the main problem. The design of an information system for managing goat livestock data using the pieces method is an information system that manages livestock owner data, livestock data, livestock pen data and extension data. With this information system, goat farm management can be more effective and efficient. Thus, a successful information system must show good performance, provide significant economic benefits, and provide adequate data security guarantees for farmers.
