Abstract

ABSTRAK Persaingan bisnis di era digital mendorong perusahaan untuk memberikan pelayanan terbaik dan memastikan kualitas produk. Globalisasi memainkan peran penting dalam perkembangan industri manufaktur, meningkatkan persaingan dan selektivitas konsumen. PT. HABE, sebagai perusahaan manufaktur, menghadapi tantangan dalam memastikan kualitas produk Kayu Talenan. Perusahaan terus melakukan evaluasi untuk memaksimalkan kualitas dan mengurangi cacat. Pada November 2022, PT. HABE memproduksi 53.487 unit Kayu Talenan dengan beberapa cacat, termasuk kesalahan ukuran, retakan, dan patah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan mengevaluasi proses produksi untuk mencapai produk berkualitas tinggi dan meminimalkan cacat. Hasilnya menunjukkan tiga karakteristik kritis kualitas (CTQ): retakan, patah, dan kesalahan ukuran kayu. Faktor penyebab cacat dianalisis dengan diagram fishbone melibatkan mesin, metode, material, dan manusia. Beberapa usulan perbaikan telah diajukan. Perusahaan perlu melakukan pemeliharaan rutin pada mesin oven, memberikan pelatihan penanganan material yang hati-hati kepada karyawan, menetapkan standar kualitas bahan baku kayu talenan, dan melaksanakan pelatihan kerja dan kedisiplinan. Dengan langkah-langkah perbaikan tersebut, diharapkan PT. HABE dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk dan meminimalkan cacat produksi. Kata Kunci: Pengendalian kualitas, Kualitas, Six Sigma dan Fish Bone ABSTRACT Business competition in the digital era is driving companies to enhance their services and ensure top-notch product quality. Globalization is a key factor in the growth of manufacturing sectors, intensifying competition and consumer preferences. PT. HABE, a manufacturing firm, is confronted with the challenge of maintaining the quality of its Wooden Cutting Board offerings. The company will consistently conduct assessments to optimize quality and reduce flaws in November 2022, PT. HABE manufactured 53,487 units of Wooden Cutting Boards, some of which had defects such as size discrepancies, cracks, and breakages. This study seeks to scrutinize and appraise the production process to deliver superior products and minimize imperfections. The findings revealed three critical quality attributes (CTQ): cracks, breakages, and inaccuracies in wood size. The root causes of defects are being examined through a fishbone diagram encompassing machinery, methodologies, materials, and human factors. Various enhancement suggestions have been put forth. Companies must conduct regular maintenance on oven machinery, provide meticulous training on material handling to staff, establish quality benchmarks for raw materials used in cutting board production, and implement training programs to enhance work ethics and discipline. By implementing these improvement measures, PT. HABE aims to improve product quality and reduce production defects. Keywords: Quality control, Quality, Six Sigma and Fish Bone
