Abstract
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SMART METHOD IN A DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY SELECTION (Case Study: SMP Negeri 3 Godean) Refinaldy Ramadhan, Moh. Ali Romli, S.Kom., M.Kom. Ringroad Utara, Jombor, Sleman, Yogyakarta E-mail: refinaldy08@gmail.com, ali.romli@uty.ac.id ABSTRACT A Decision Support System (DSS) is a system capable of providing problem-solving capabilities and assisting in selecting the best decision. SMP Negeri 3 Godean is located on Jalan Garuda, Sidoarum, Godean District, DIY. Based on the analysis, issues were found where students with more skills or intelligence in each extracurricular activity are not necessarily proficient in all activities available at the school. The selection of extracurricular activities requires considerable consideration, especially tailored to the interests and talents of students. It is unfortunate if students' choices are based solely on following their peers. Therefore, a system is needed to assist in making decisions for selecting extracurricular activities. The aim of this research is to build a decision support system using the Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART). The choice of the SMART method is due to its ability to aid in multi-attribute decision-making, which is expected to create an accurate decision-making system. The decision support system is developed using the Laravel framework with PHP programming language. The system testing employs Black Box Testing. The result of this research is a report on the selection of extracurricular activities ranked in order of the highest values. Keywords: Decision Support System, SMART, Extracurricular Activities.
