Abstract
The purpose of this writing is to find out the types of struggle, the impact of these struggles and the factors that cause the struggle. Malorie's struggle in the novel is to survive from the interference of invisible creatures. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. Following are several steps in collecting data; read the novel, look for the most prominent and interesting parts of the novel to analyze, and draw conclusions from the analysis. The results of this analysis show; (1) There are three kinds of struggle; The struggle to survive, the struggle to accept the realities of life, and the struggle to protect their children. (2) The impact of the struggle carried out by the main character; Depression, Anxiety, and Fear. (3) Factors that caused the struggle; Reality does not match expectations, Discomfort with existing conditions, and Trapped in a complicated situation.
