Abstract

This research is entitled An Analysis of Word Formation Found in Badboys Movie. The purpose of this research is to find out the types of word formation that most often appear in the Badboys movie by Michael Bay. The data collection method in this research is a qualitative method because the author collected data from the script by taking notes and observing. By taking notes, the author quotes data to obtain information that contains words that are categorized as word formation. Then observations were made by analyzing the movie script. By analyzing the script and observing the script, the writer can find out the setting, expressions, and provide contextual support, the researcher found 50 data that consist of 14 data of blending, 27 data of clipping, and 9 data of coinage
