Abstract
In linguistics, morphology is one of the branches of science that studies the formation of a word from morphemes. All words can be studied, including slang where its formation is a long process due to the social environment. Even so, slang also has its own classification of word formation. The translation of slang into the target language is one of the things that also goes through a long process. In an online RPG game, Genshin Impact uses English as the main language and players can change the display language, including the language used in the introduction of the story. The language used is informal, and some slang is also used in the English version. The unique thing about the game is the translation of slang into the Indonesian version which sounds unique and fresh. Therefore, the main objectives of this study are to: 1) find out the types of morphology in slang, 2) The translation techniques used for slang in source language (SL) into the target language (TL). This study uses qualitative method, while for the theory, the researcher uses the theory of morphological types in slang and also the theory of translation techniques. This study found out that only 6 of 15 slang morphological types were found in the data; 7 compounding, 6 variation, 5 clipping, 4 suffixation, 2 word-formation, and 1 reduplication. In addition, out of 17 translation techniques, only 5 techniques were found in this study; adaptation 12 times, literal translation 6 times, reduction 5 times, description 1 time, and modulation 1 time
