Abstract
This research aims to reveal the existence of women in two literary works, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and Entrok by Okky Madasari. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a feminist theory by Simone de Beauvoir and comparative literature. By using reading and note-taking techniques, researcher collects data that reflects universal values regarding the existence of women in the two novels. The results of the research show that female characters actively try to show their existence in society by presenting themselves as educated, economically independent, transcending personal identity, and capable of determining their lives by getting married. The universality value in both novels encourages women not to be passive in living their lives amidst a patriarchal system that is dominated by men
