Abstract
ABSTRACT The development of internet and network technology allows everyone to exchange information or messages with others without any distance or time constraints. The problem of data and information security and confidentiality is an important thing. With the rapid development of communication technology, of course the level of security must also develop. With no guarantee of security. Other people can easily get information sent via computer networks and the internet. Therefore, there needs to be a branch of science that studies how to secure data or better known as cryptography. The method used in this study is Caesar Cipher. This technique is one of the algorithms that is often used as a method of hiding messages (cryptography). Where the letters in the message to be sent will be replaced with other letters that have differences in alphabetical order. In this Caesar Cipher, cryptography can be performed on text in the form of letters. This application uses the Caesar Cipher algorithm for the encryption method, which aims to make conversations with people have a key and are not easily read by others.
