Abstract
Train transportation is one of the favorite transportation for people who do their daily activities. Train transportation services at a certain time can experience a surge in passengers than usual. As a result of the lack of preparation of PT KAI in providing train transportation services, it causes disappointment for passengers who cannot board due to the limited number of carriages prepared at that time. As a result, it will give a negative image to train transportation. To anticipate this, a simulation needs to be carried out to predict the number of passengers that may occur in the future. The method used in this study is Backpropagation. The purpose of this study is to provide information to PT KAI about the prediction of the number of passengers that may occur in the future. Thus, this information can be a reference for PT KAI on the island of Java in taking action and policies to improve the quality of service.
