Abstract
An efficient speedboat ticket booking system is essential to eliminate delays and errors associated with manual recording methods, which can hinder operations and diminish customer satisfaction. This study develops an Android-based ticket booking application that enables users to search for schedules, book tickets, make payments, and access booking information digitally, facilitating a more streamlined and rapid experience. The system is constructed using Kotlin for the front end and Laravel for the back end on a web platform designed for administrators. Testing was conducted using the Black Box method to verify the accuracy of the functionality and the stability of the system under various usage conditions. The results indicate that this application enhances service efficiency by expediting the ticket booking process, reducing queues at the location, and providing real-time access to schedule information. Furthermore, the system has been demonstrated to facilitate the optimization of booking management, mitigate the likelihood of data recording errors, and enhance transparency in transactions. The application’s incorporation of features such as Payment Gateway is anticipated to improve the efficacy of the system in elevating the quality of speedboat transportation services, thereby ensuring a superior user experience.
