Abstract

Management Information Systems (MIS) are designed to enhance the operational efficiency of organizations, particularly within the snack food industry. This study presents a mobile-based Snack Food Production Management Information System aimed at optimizing the production process and inventory management at the Mirasa Gendis Sriyanti Tape Candy Factory. The system was developed to address the issue of overproduction, which arose from inadequate evaluation of market demand. The mobile application was created using Kotlin, with Java serving as the backend and Firebase functioning as the primary database, enabling real-time production monitoring. The research methods employed include an analysis of the existing system, the design of the proposed system, implementation, and testing using the black box testing method. The findings indicate that this system can enhance production efficiency, mitigate the risk of excess inventory, and facilitate more accurate data-driven decision-making.
