Abstract

Kecamatan Cangkringan merupakan salah satu kecamatan yang terletak di kaki Gunung Merapi dengan potensi wisata alam yang tinggi serta beragam. Dalam mendukung pengembangan pariwisata yang berkelanjutan maka dirancanglah sebuah resort hotel dengan pendekatan eco-friendly architecture. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang harmonis antara alam dan kebutuhan manusia, mengurangi dampak negatif terhadap ekosistem, dan mempromosikan prinsip-prinsip keberlanjutan. Perancangan resort hotel ini mempertimbangkan aspek-aspek seperti efisiensi energi, pengelolaan sumber daya air, penggunaan material ramah lingkungan, serta integrasi desain dengan lanskap lokal. Konsep ruang dirancang untuk memberikan pengalaman yang menyatu dengan alam bagi para tamu, sambil tetap menjaga privasi dan kenyamanan. Selain itu, desain arsitektur mengadopsi elemen lokal untuk memperkuat identitas budaya daerah. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi studi literatur, observasi lapangan, dan analisis kebutuhan pengguna. Studi literatur dilakukan untuk memahami konsep eco-friendly architecture serta karakteristik tentang resort hotel, serta observasi lapangan dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data kontekstual mengenai lokasi perancangan & analisis kebutuhan pengguna. Hasil dari perancangan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi contoh penerapan arsitektur berwawasan lingkungan di sektor pariwisata, sekaligus mendukung peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat melalui pengelolaan sumber daya yang berkelanjutan. Resort hotel ini tidak hanya dirancang sebagai fasilitas akomodasi, tetapi juga sebagai upaya edukasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya pelestarian lingkungan. Cangkringan Sub-district is located at the foot of Mount Merapi and is known for its high potential for diverse natural tourism. To support sustainable tourism development, a resort hotel has been designed with an eco-friendly architecture approach. This approach aims to create a harmonious environment between nature and human needs, minimize negative impacts on the ecosystem, and promote the principles of sustainability. The resort hotel's design considers aspects such as energy efficiency, water resource management, the use of environmentally friendly materials, and the integration of the design with the local landscape. The spatial concept is tailored to provide guests with an immersive experience in nature while maintaining privacy and comfort. Furthermore, the architectural design incorporates local elements to strengthen the cultural identity of the region. The methodology used in this study includes literature review, field observations, and user needs analysis. The literature review was conducted to understand the concepts of eco-friendly architecture and the characteristics of resort hotels, while field observations provided contextual data on the project site. User needs analysis identified specific requirements for the design. The result of this project is expected to serve as an example of environmentally conscious architecture in the tourism sector, while also contributing to the welfare of local communities through sustainable resource management. The resort hotel is designed not only as an accommodation facility but also as an educational platform to raise awareness of the importance of environmental preservation.
