Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF A WEB-BASED ASSISTANT LECTURER RECRUITMENT AND ATTENDANCE INFORMATION SYSTEM (Case Study: University of Technology Yogyakarta, Sleman, DIY) Atya Rahmadina, Murti Retnowo Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Technology Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara, Jombor, Sleman, Yogyakarta Email: [email protected], [email protected] ABSTRACT University of Technology Yogyakarta (UTY) is a private university in Yogyakarta focused on the development of science and technology. Several study programs at UTY utilize teaching assistants for practical courses. Problems arise in the recruitment and attendance processes for teaching assistants. Students must contact lecturers directly to obtain information on teaching assistant recruitment, while the attendance process is conducted twice using Google Forms and an attendance book. This research aims to design a web-based information system that facilitates lecturer recruitment and allows teaching assistants to record attendance in real time. The development method used ranges from data collection and needs analysis to implementation. This system includes features such as teaching assistant registration, attendance management, and attendance reports. Using web-based technology, this system is designed to meet the needs of lecturers, laboratory administrators, and students in an integrated manner. The research results show that students can register for teaching assistant positions in vacancies created by lecturers, and teaching assistants can record attendance through the system. Furthermore, the system can display attendance reports for teaching assistants, reports for lecturers and their assistants, and reports on incoming applications.
