Abstract

Conventional ticket booking systems often pose challenges for users, such as limited accessibility and lack of transparency in accessing travel information. As the demand for faster and more practical services increases, digital solutions are urgently required to enhance user efficiency and convenience. This study developed an Android-based mobile and web application that facilitates intercity travel ticket booking in a more effective and efficient manner. Data were obtained through interviews with travel agency staff, covering departure and arrival schedules, passenger capacity, fare details, and available routes. The fleet includes minibuses and executive buses tailored to meet passenger needs. The application enables users to easily search for information related to departure and destination cities, travel schedules, seat availability, and to make secure and practical digital bookings and payments. The system was built using Flutter for both mobile and web platforms, JavaScript and Express.js for backend development, and MySQL as the database. Functional and user testing were conducted to evaluate usability, system performance, and data accuracy. Results indicate that the application has the potential to improve operational efficiency for travel service providers and offer a better user experience in the ticket booking process. Further evaluation and user feedback are essential to refine features, enhance system scalability, and ensure continuous development aligned with market needs and user expectations.
