Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly impacted various sectors, particularly tourism. Umbul Ponggok, located in Klaten Regency, is a popular aquatic tourism destination known for snorkeling and diving activities. However, the current equipment rental system still relies on conventional methods, leading to challenges such as long queues, inaccurate transaction records, and complex inventory management. This study focuses on the development of a mobile application for snorkeling gear rental, integrated with QR Code technology. The application allows visitors to reserve equipment online prior to arrival and streamlines the verification process through QR Code scanning. Black box testing was conducted to ensure all features functioned as intended. Implementation results demonstrate that the application successfully improves rental efficiency, optimizes operational workflows, and enhances service quality at the Umbul Ponggok tourism site.
