Abstract
The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly influenced consumer behavior, particularly in the food service industry, where digital ordering systems are increasingly preferred, including in catering services. However, many catering providers still rely on conventional ordering methods, which are inefficient and prone to recording errors. This study aims to design and develop a web and mobile-based catering ordering application for Kedai Daun Bayat, Klaten, to improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and ease of use for both customers and administrators. The research adopts the prototyping method, which allows iterative system redesign based on continuous user feedback. The developed application features a dynamic menu list, shopping cart, order placement, real-time order status tracking, and order history. Testing results indicate that all core functions operate effectively and meet user requirements. The implementation of this application is expected to support the digital transformation of catering services, enhance customer satisfaction, and strengthen the business’s competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic market.
