Abstract
Effective financial management is one of the key components in maintaining financial stability and improving the well-being of individuals and families. The common misconception that expenses inevitably rise with income often leads to poor financial planning. This study aims to address that issue by developing an Android-based financial management application that enables users to manage their finances more effectively and efficiently. The research applies the Waterfall model, where each phase, from requirements analysis to implementation, is executed systematically. The application’s system architecture is designed using Unified Modelling Language (UML) to clearly define workflows and processes. Black box testing was employed to ensure the functionality of all core features, including financial record-keeping, income and expense tracking, and automated financial report generation. Additionally, the application offers an investment tracking feature, allowing users to monitor and manage their investment assets. The resulting application empowers users to optimize their financial management practices, thereby contributing to a more structured and sustainable improvement in their quality of life.
