Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has made it easier for the public to access various types of information, including cooking recipes. Although numerous recipe applications are available, users still face challenges such as difficulties in searching for recipes based on available ingredients and the absence of features for saving favorite recipes for future cooking sessions. Therefore, innovation in recipe search functionality is necessary. This study aims to develop an Android-based cooking recipe application equipped with features such as recipe search by ingredients and food categories, as well as a recipe bookmarking function for user favorites. The search features help users save time and maximize ingredient use, while the favorites function allows quick access to preferred recipes. The application is developed using the Flutter framework integrated with Dart for building the interface, and MySQL as the database server to manage recipe data in a structured manner. Communication between the app and the database is handled through a REST API. The application processes data such as recipe details, food categories, and ingredient lists. This research successfully delivers an Android-based recipe application that enhances user convenience in exploring and storing a wide variety of cooking recipes more efficiently. Keywords: Cooking Recipe Application, Android, Flutter, MySQL, REST API
