Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based Point of Sale (POS) and product stock management system integrated with a payment gateway for Toko Makmur. Previously, the store lacked a system to manage product inventory, sales and purchase reporting, and automated payments, resulting in inefficiencies and a high risk of data entry errors. The website is designed to streamline sales and purchase transactions, inventory management, and reporting processes. The system is built using Laravel for both frontend and backend development, with MySQL as the database. The development methodology employed is the Agile Software Development Life Cycle. Based on implementation and testing, the system improved operational efficiency by 65%, reducing the average transaction time from approximately 2 minutes to just 40 seconds. Inventory recording errors were also reduced by up to 85% compared to the previous manual system. Usability testing indicated that user data entry (products, partners, and employees) required only about one minute per entry, and the interface was intuitive enough to be used without formal technical training. All system features were tested using the black-box method across 25 scenarios, with results confirming that the system performed as expected and was fully functional.
