Abstract

Kerinci Mount, as one of Indonesia’s most popular nature tourism destinations, faces challenges in maintaining an efficient and organized ticketing system for hikers. This study aims to design and develop a mobile-based e-ticket booking application for Kerinci Mount hiking. The application is expected to simplify the ticket booking process for climbers, reduce paper usage, and enhance the efficiency and transparency of hiking management. The development process adopts the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, which supports iterative and continuous development. The Android-based application integrates key features such as real-time ticket booking, digital payments, and comprehensive information on hiking routes, weather updates, and hiking regulations. The resulting application is user-friendly, secure, and effective in facilitating e-ticket reservations for Kerinci Mount hikes. User testing was conducted with a group of potential users, and the results indicated significant improvements in accessibility, booking speed, and overall user satisfaction.
