Abstract

A modern solution for managing employee attendance is an RFID-based attendance system that utilizes smart cards or employee ID cards. At Indah Photo Studio in South Lampung, attendance is still recorded manually—each employee writes their arrival time and signs on a paper sheet. This research introduces a system that leverages Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for efficient and accurate employee attendance tracking. The application automates the recording process, reducing human error and enhancing administrative efficiency. RFID-based attendance systems using smart cards are increasingly adopted by various organizations for improving discipline, operational efficiency, and security. In this system, integrated RFID technology identifies employee presence through smart cards and enables seamless data management via a connected database. To support real-time monitoring and data analysis, the system includes a web-based admin interface that allows administrators to manage and oversee employee attendance online. This IoT-enabled solution detects and records precise timestamps of employee check-ins and check-outs, contributing to a more reliable and organized attendance management system.
