Abstract

Radin Shop is a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) located in East Jakarta. Its operational system, including data processing and information dissemination, remains highly conventional. Product availability updates are communicated solely through telephone, which is prone to errors, delays, and data loss—factors that can negatively impact customer satisfaction and result in financial loss. To address these limitations, this study proposes the development of a new digital system in the form of an e-commerce application. The solution includes a web-based platform for administrative tasks and a mobile-based platform for consumer use. All data is centrally stored using a MySQL database. The application is developed using Kotlin for the Android client-side and Node.js for the server-side processes. The system’s functionality is validated through Black Box Testing, achieving a 100% success rate across 10 test scenarios. Administrators can upload and manage product information, while customers can easily access current prices and stock availability from Radin Shop. Based on its functionality and successful testing outcomes, this application is well-suited for e-commerce implementation, streamlining transactions and enhancing user experience for both store managers and customers.
