Abstract

The advancement of digital technology is driving transformation across various sectors, including the beauty industry. Nyalon Studio in Yogyakarta still relies on a manual reservation system, leading to issues such as scheduling errors and inefficient queuing. This study aims to design and develop an Android-based salon reservation application utilizing Firebase technology. The application is built using Kotlin in Android Studio and integrates Firebase Authentication, Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging to facilitate user login, data storage, and automated notifications. Key features include user registration, login, service selection, appointment scheduling, automatic reminders, and reservation management. Black box testing confirms that all functionalities operate as intended with a 100% success rate, indicating the application’s effectiveness in enhancing operational efficiency and improving user satisfaction.
